The Kotchoubey Readings is an annual international conference which is being held by St. Petersburg campus of National Research University Higher School of Economics under the auspices of the Kotchoubey family to focus on the phenomenon of private collecting and discuss its role in preserving cultural heritage.
The venue is the mansion of the master of ceremonies of the court of Emperor Nicholas II Vasily Petrovich Kochubey in Tsarskoye Selo where the Kotchoubey Management Training Centre (Kotchoubey Centre) is situated. The conference was adopted a non-traditional digital format this year due to the current coronavirus crisis in the world.
National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (“HSE”) in Saint-Petersburg conducted the III Kotchoubey Readings “Private collections and digital technology”.
Two days on the Kotchoubey Centre’s online platform in October was devoted to discussing the actual Russian and international cases on using some digital tools and solutions in work with private collections, as well as options for cooperation in the field of their creation, preservation and representation.

The project is launched via the Kotchoubey Centre’s online platform. Those who wish to take part in the conference are invited to register from September 1 before October 7.
